1. Dress up.
But don't do it for somebody else. Do it for yourself. Dressing up always makes me feel like a million bucks! My V-Day dress was thrifted, so you don't even have to spend a lot of money on it!
2. Make something tasty.
Tonight, my roommate and I are making cupcakes. Heart shaped cupcakes. Topped with chocolate sauce. They're from a box, but the chocolate topping is homemade. I took it from this Chocolate Sour Cream Bundt Cake recipe and just dipped the tops in. Soooo tasty. I've eaten it by the spoonful before, no big deal.
3. Make something else tasty.
This strawberry infused vodka was so easy to make. And the pretty red color is perfect for Valentines day! It takes a few days to make, but it is totally worth it.
Since my roommate and I are both single, we're taking ourselves out! We're going to the Chicago Diner tonight. Pictures will be posted later this week. It's some of the best food I've ever had. No joke.
5. Do something nice for someone else
You really should be doing this everyday, but on Valentine's Day, it's just a little sweeter. We put that strawberry vodka to good use and gave some of it to our coffeeshops! They like us. We like them. They pretty much are our Valentines.
screw jealousness, you gotta live up the single life every day. and it's not every Vday that you get to spend it with the bestie, soak it up!
