Brownies. Pies. Cookies.

My list of things I want to make is growing quite rapidly. Sure, I cook healthy stuff like zucchini and take my vitamins, but there is just something about taking a tray of warm cookies out of the oven. It's heaven.

So far, my list consists of

Dark Chocolate Brownies
Peach Pie with Crumble Topping
Cinnamon Sugar Cookies
Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins
more Vegan Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

It kinda sucks living alone, 'cause I feel like a lot of this stuff has the potential to go to waste. Good thing I have my wonderful friends at Wormhole Coffee (my favorite coffee shop ever). They will gladly take all my unwanted baked goods. Maybe I'll make them all a proper dinner one day instead of getting them fat with cookies and banana bread.

What I Wore: 6.16.2011

Blah. What an awful day today was. I mean, it started out pretty good at my favorite coffee shop. They take such good care of me there.

But this past week and a half, my laptop has been acting...well...odd. To say the least. It wasn't charging, and would randomly shut off when I was in the middle of things. My friends who are much much smarter than me told me that there was either a hardware problem or a battery problem with my laptop. After much frustration and lots of trips on the bus, I now have a new netbook. It's totally adorable.

Yesterday was much better. I spent the day with Dieter, the 7-year-old I watch. We went to my coffee shop, ran errands, baked cookies, played in the park and just had fun. He's a great kid and I love having that one on one time that I don't usually get. Anyways, this is what I wore.

Eww. Gross sponge in this picture.

Happiness Is...

Sitting at your favorite coffee shop on a chilly day, sipping a tasty beverage.
It's conversing with a new friend about everyday junk.

It's when you've been craving a chocolate milkshake all week and having that craving satisfied by the tasty beverage and not missing the chance to have gotten a chocolate milkshake instead.

What I Wore: 6.7.11

I read a lot of baby blogs. Like, way too many for a 19 year old college student. But one thing that I love about the mothers is, despite having to care for children, they don't ditch their style.

Miss James of Bleubird Vintage. I adore her and her 3 kids that she frequently features on her blog. This proud momma has amazing style. I wish I was one of her kids so I could inherit some of her wardrobe.

Delimas

This morning, I met with a personal trainer to discuss me joining the club. I was so excited to start becoming more proactive with my fitness...until I saw the price tag that was e-mailed to me later on. This is something I cannot afford. Tomorrow, I have to call and cancel and tell them that although I would love to be a part of what they have to offer, it's just not something I can do right now.

On the bright side, my fear of riding my bike has almost vanished. I went to Whole Foods this morning on my bike and had a really nice time. Didn't get hit or anything. =]

I need to start putting that into my everyday routine until it starts to just become second nature and I feel weird not grabbing my bike helmet as I walk out the door.
