Life In Pictures - January 11-17

Another installment of Life in Pictures! Enjoy!

A lovely dinner. Not quite sure what it was though...

Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies. I will put a recipe up soon.

My front yardish area after it snowed! So pretty.

Pretty green bike covered in snow.

Pretty lattes with friends.

The cutest house ever. I want to live there.

Super salty popcorn. It was fantastic.

The drainpipe outside the house I nanny at. COVERED in ice.

The lights in my bedroom. It's magical.

What are some of your favorite moments of the week?

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Today was my first day back to school. I usually don't have time to make and eat a good breakfast. In the winter all I want to do is stay in my warm bed. But who doesn't?

So this morning, I made myself a strawberry banana smoothie. I keep wanting to write 'milkshake'. Maybe that's my subconscious trying to tell me something.

I only used 4 ingredients. That's it. Perfect for an early morning.

Threw it all in the blender cup. Yes, I have a blender cup. My blender stick is my best friend in the kitchen. It's magic.

It ends up being super pretty and pink and so cute in my glass. And quite tasty.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

1 cup milk
1 banana, sliced.
4 or 5 big frozen strawberries
3 heaping spoonfuls of plain (or vanilla) yogurt

Place all ingredients into a blender or blending cup. Blend until smooth. Pour into a pretty glass and enjoy!

I went to a potluck last night. It was awesome. I brought Dried Apircots with Basil Goat Cheese and Almonds.  They were a HUGE hit. Loved it. I may have made some this morning and ate them after church. No big deal. They're super tasty. And super easy to make.

My dear friend Naomi of What Naomi Loves hosted it. It was way fun. It's so great getting together with friends before school starts. Isn't she the cutest? Her blog is pretty great too. You should check it out.

Me and my roommate, Steph. Aren't we cute?

Potluck under way. That soup was sooo tasty.
We played Mad Libs. It was fun. Some of them were dirty. Some of them were from books. All of them were super funny.

Me and Steph, again.

Note. I didn't take any of these pictures. Expect for the one of Naomi. She took all the other ones. I wish I had a fancy camera like she does. Love that girl. So much.

Life In Pictures - January 7 - 10

I'm starting this new series, called Life in Pictures. It's pictures of bits of my life that I just love. Trips to coffee shops, waiting for the train, etc. Enjoy!!

Cowboy boots and SmartWool tights. Love it. So much.

Breakfast at Wormhole Coffee.
Waiting for the Blue Line at an empty platform.

Honey Bear Latte from Wormhole Coffee. So pretty.

Getting ready for a bike ride. Cuffed pants with SmartWool socks.
All dolled up to go get coffee.

Letter writing and a lipstick kissed coffee cup from Ipsento.

Oreo Milkshake

This has been one of those weeks. One of those weeks where the sink is always full of dishes and it's too cold to leave the house. One of those weeks where you watch too much Star Wars (as if that's a thing) and eat the saltiest popcorn. One of those weeks where both you and your roommate forget the question that said roommate asked you. Weeks like these require an indulgence. An indulgence like, oh, an Oreo Milkshake.

This shake was awesome. So awesome, I shared it with my roommate. I'd share it with you, too. It's that tasty.

It's so easy and simple to make. So glad I stumbled upon this.

4 tsp. chocolate syrup
8 Oreo cookies
1 1/2 cups of milk
2 cups vanilla ice cream, softened

Spoon (or eyeball) 1 tsp. chocolate syrup into 4 glasses (or be like me and use 2 glasses). Roll each glass to coat bottom and inside of glass. Finely chop 4 cookies; set aside.

Quarter remaining cookies; place into blender. (I don't have a blender, I have a Magic Stick. Its like a handheld blender and it's super easy to use.) Add milk and ice cream; blend until smooth.

Pour into prepared glasses; topped with chopped cookies. Serve and enjoy!! =]

Morning Coffee

So I'm a super awful person. Yup. I am. I am because I haven't been blogging nearly as much as I used to. Because I let life get in the way of something that I really enjoy and I'm pissed about it. NO MORE! Or at least I'll try to make it that way.

So for now, I will attempt to blog more about life and stuff and maybe coffee. Always coffee. Also, Oreo Milkshakes. A post about it will be up soon. Once I figure out how to get the pictures from my phone onto my laptop.

But yeah, sorry for the crickets. Life is nuts, but I'm trying to take a step back and breathe. If you feel like your life is like this, you should do the same. It's totes worth it.
